Our Commitment to Conscious Beauty for a New Generation
At Plenaire, sustainability is not an afterthought — in line with our B Corp credentials, it is baked into every decision we make. From the materials used in our packaging to the lifecycle of every product, we design with responsibility, transparency and long-term environmental impact in mind.
As we bring Plenaire to India, our commitment remains the same: to offer beauty that feels good, performs beautifully, and respects the world we share.
Our packaging is designed with high recyclability and material integrity at its core. Working closely with material and sustainability experts, out team ensures that every component is carefully selected to balance product freshness and safety, always guided by user experience, and environmental responsibility.
Where possible, our tubes and bottles have matching closures to minimize the hassle of separation, recognizing that it's often inconvenience that stops people from being better at recycling, not a lack of good intentions.
Unlike standard extruded, composite or laminate tube packaging, Plenaire tubes and caps are designed to offer the benefit of simpler and more effective recycling.
Wherever possible, we pair tubes with PP (polypropylene) closures, a widely recyclable material in many regions globally, including India.
The details of how we have approached packaging can be found in our Sustainability and Material disclosure statement.
Plenaire has proudly maintained carbon neutral status since 2021.
In the UK, we:
Measure and track our annual carbon emissions
Offset them through verified environmental projects via Climate Partner
Commit to continually reducing our footprint as we innovate and grow in line with our B Corp commitment and goals
In India, our intention to measure and offset carbon will continue as we scale. We plan to track offsets, measure impact, and transition from Climate Neutral to an FCC (Financial Climate Contribution) model, which incorporates emission reductions via charitable offsets, completed via our chosen measurement partner, Climate Partner.
A Future of Better Materials
We are a young brand, and it’s likely that as we grow, we will improve our Sustainability further.
At Plenaire, we are actively exploring,
Bio-based plastics
Sugar-cane–derived resins
Fibre-pulp innovations
Low-carbon refill solutions
Eliminating traditional single-use sachets and developing more ethical, sustainable sampling formats, removal of any single use plastic.
Closed-loop recycling programs implemented at scale
Your curiosity and commitment empowers brands like ours to do better, think bigger, and innovate sustainably.
The problem of waste in the beauty industry affects all of us, and brands have a clear responsibility to drive meaningful change.
As new technologies mature and become viable at scale — and in line with our B Corp commitments — we remain dedicated to continually transitioning toward more responsible, sustainable alternatives.
